Why is it that when I manually wind the minutes hand, the date changes at midnight. But when it runs mechanically, the date changes minutes after midnight? Is there a way without having the Rolex watchmaker open my GMT II, for me to adjust by (hand)?

Tried setting the time to 6, setting it to the day before and slowly rotating the hands round to 12 and seeing if anything happens.
