Later on, Rolex changed to Superluminova, and now, Rolex has ”Swiss made” on all of its watches. However, in recent years, Rolex has started printing the logo coronet between Swiss and Made, to indicate that the watch has a second . T SWISS MADE T indicates that the radioactive material Tritium is present on the wristwatch. The amount of radioactive material emitted is limited to a maximum of 25 .
T Swiss T: luminous material Tritium, used from 1960 until 1998 radioactive, radioactivity less than 277 MBq (7,5 mCi). Swiss Made: luminous material Superluminova, used from 2000, not radioactive. I need some answers before I pull the trigger on a preowned Rolex Day Date 36mm 18238 black dial. There are two examples that I am currently looking at, both are DD 18238 but they have different Swiss Made dial markings. One has the "T SWISS MADE T" while the other one has "SWISS MADE." I find I enjoy the smaller size vintage Rolex watches nowadays. Currently I am eyeing on vintage 6694 from year 1959. The watch look ok to me except I have concern in the TswissT mark at six o clock on the dial. Based on my knowledge, the Rolex from this era should be Swiss only dial?
